Say hello to our task board, triage and archive

This post is part of our “Mega Ultra Super BugHerd Update” series this week. These awesome new features will be released next week. Stay tuned!!

Okay, so our admin sucks. We’re the first to admit it. To thank you all for putting up with it since we launched, our upcoming release will have THE most awesome admin EVER! It has just about everything you need to manage your web project from inception to deployment to maintenance. Let us tell you about the three things that make it rock:

Task board

In BugHerd, project managers can set up a bunch of tasks for each team member and these sit in the “backlog” column. When a task is being worked on, it moves one step to the right into the “to do” column; eventually working it’s way to “done”. From there, the project manager can check it off, click the “deliver” button and archive it! It’s a handy way to keep tabs on the status of tasks without having to badger anyone.

If you’re using the public feedback widget or have clients logging tasks, you might be fretting about the backlog getting filled up with “junk”. Not to worry, that’s where our triage comes in.

Triage

When new tasks are created, they get sent to the triage section for a project manager to sort, assign and prioritize first. That way, the “backlog” of tasks on the task board only ever contains the “good stuff”. Triage is a feature you can choose to turn on or off in project settings.

Archive

If you ever wondered what happened to xyz task that you did back in the day, you can now click on the “archive” tab and search for it. Neato! It’s easy to think this isn’t such a big deal, but just ask our customers with 2000+ archived tasks how much they love this!
