Here’s a sneak peek of two new BugHerd features that we’re super excited about. They’re still a little way away, but if you want an early look, let us know by shooting an email to support@bugherd.com. We’d love your feedback!
Automated screenshots
The new screenshot feature simply attaches an image to each issue, showing what the reporter saw. In the details pane you’ll get an easy to view thumbnail showing exactly where the issue was. Click the thumbnail and you’ll also see the full sized image. BAM!
I hear you asking, “but your bug tagging is already so awesome, why do I want screenshots as well??”. Great question! The truth is that there’s often instances when the page you’re looking at isn’t exactly what the user saw. Maybe the content is personalised, or perhaps the article they tagged isn’t there anymore. Whatever the case, you’ll see what the reporter saw, making it easier to understand what the issue is.
File attachments
It’s easy to be a little less excited about this one, but it’s one of our most popular requests. The attachments feature simply lets you attach a file when you report an issue. Simple but extremely useful. Instead of just saying, “can you please change this image”. You can now attach the new image to the task making it even easier for the designer to get their work done. Now you can just attach it as you request the change. It just keeps getting easier!
